A 12-page letter card inside a flapped A6, 4-page envelope, the envelope illustrated with a label describing the position of the full moon on the night of 30th November, 2020. The insert includes ‘A Riddle’ by Alice Oswald and a sequence of photomontages showing the passage of a cloud across the face of the full moon. Printed by Ashley House, Exeter, in an edition of 550 – 500 of which were distributed to subscribers.

Description

A poem by Alice Oswald, distributed as a letter card to 500 subscribers via TORCH, the Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities. It announced the broadcast at midnight 0n 30th November, 2020, of a dance inspired by the poem, choreographed and performed by Estela Merlos and Thomasin Haluk Gülgeç. The broadcast also included the premiere of a music track by Joseph Kay. A remnant 50 copies of the letter card are for sale.
