Blind Spot: Staring down the void

A collection of original essays, artworks, writings and resources responding to a wider Blind Spot artistic research project (2016–2020) initiated by the Norwegian Theatre Academy. As well as describing the blind spot as scotoma, the natural phenomenon at the origin of sight, the authors treat it as a metaphor for forms of cultural, psychological, social and environmental blindness. Edited by Ric Allsopp and Karen Kipphoff, the book features contributions commissioned from Alice Oswald, Irving Finkel, Nigel Llewellyn, Kevin Mount and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson.

Assembled in five sections, thread-bound dos-à-dos, and contained with a sixth perfect bound introductory section in a slipcase. Limited copies are available from the UK Centre for Performance Research:
