Alice Oswald’s poem Rain was commissioned by Radio 3 as part of the BBC station’s 70th anniversary celebration. It was broadcast on November 2016 with a binaural sound design by Steve Brooke, and first performed live by Alice Oswald in July 2017 with improvised accompaniment by the jazz pianist Huw Warren as part of the Dartington International Summer School and Festival. These two A5 cards were published to coincide with the Dartington event. Each contains an extract from the poem and is sold with an envelope and an A6 postcard. Three more ‘drops’ of Rain are planned.
